What will you be doing:
The UK is our third largest market globally with over $150m annual revenue. The opportunities are vast as we look to grow the category as a whole with our customers. We’re looking for someone who can drive the teams to maintain our #1 position.
You’ll work closely in partnership with Sales, Marketing & Global Key Account teams to ensure the UK strategy is executed and delivered successfully. You’ll have regular interaction with our customers which include the likes of Specsavers, Vision Express, Boots. You will co-design and implement the agreed strategy for Sales (national and key accounts) and Myopia Management, through leadership, drive, operational excellence, and financial performance.
Myopia Management is an exciting long-term strategic growth driver for CooperVision, and includes both our existing MiSight and Brilliant Futures programmes, plus recently acquired SightGlass Vision joint venture. The Myopia Management team is responsible for all products and customers relating to CooperVision’s myopia control products, such as MiSight and recently acquired SightGlass Vision businesses.
You will lead a team of 15 people, with 8 direct reports based nationally mostly field based so experience in this environment is a must. Other responsibilities will include:
Establishing constructive working relationships and joint business plans with counterparts in National and Key Account customers, with main objective of driving contact lens category growth.
Forecasting and achieving revenue and expense targets within National and Key Accounts and Myopia Management teams.
Working with UK&I Marketing and Global Key Account teams to develop strategies and initiatives to drive category and CooperVision revenue growth
Providing overall leadership for the team responsible for National and Key Account Management, and Myopia Management, creating a collaborative team environment and driving an entrepreneurial, challenger mindset.
Representing National and Key Accounts and Myopia Management businesses on the UK & Ireland Commercial Leadership team.
What skills and experience should you have?
Ideally you will have experience in the Optical industry and will be familiar with our customer based/key account relationships. You’ll need to possess strong leadership skills and we value a challenger mindset.
In this role you must be able to put strategy into action and bring people on the journey with you. Partnership, collaboration and dedication really are key.
Excellent leadership of people and team management plus motivational capabilities.
Clear and ROI-driven strategic thinker allied with strong organisational skills to deliver on execution.
